Constant straining can also lead to painful piles (hemorrhoids). To keep your digestion healthy: * Eat fiber-rich foods like fruits, veggies, and whole grains * Drink plenty of water * Stay physically active * Don’t overuse laxatives, as they can make things worse over time If constipation continues, or you notice pain, blood in stools, or sudden weight loss, consult a doctor.
